As you said, the NA controller will be running the pump at 12V instead of 7V while cruising and 8V instead of 6V at idle. It will just have higher fuel flow down the return hose to the tank. It may reduce the life expectancy of the pump a bit. Make sure you use a TT pump otherwise you'll lean out under boost.
